    Jeff Dunn has 30 years of professional law enforcement experience which includes an extensive investigative background in stalking, threat assessment, burglary, and sexual assault cases.  For the past 17 years, Jeff has been the Officer-in-Charge of a specialized unit targeting long-term, abnormal and obsessive cases that result in stalking, threats and harassment. He has investigated or supervised thousands of stalking and threat related cases; including cases involving workplace violence and threats to public officials.

    Jeff frequently provides training on recognition, reporting and case management strategies for law enforcement personnel on the subjects of stalking and threat assessment.  He has assisted in drafting training programs for the California and Arizona Commissions on Police Officers Standards and Training (POST).  He is a regular instructor for the California District Attorneys Association (CDAA) Advanced Victim’s Advocate Course and has been a guest instructor for Criminal Justice courses at the University of Southern California (USC), University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Alliant University and California State University Los Angeles. Additionally, Jeff has been a featured speaker at a number of seminars and national conferences regarding threat management issues.

    Following the shooting at the Fort Hood military base in November 2009, the Department of Defense assembled a task force comprised of nationally known threat assessment experts to identify and recommend strategies for predicting violent behavior. Jeff was one of eleven task force members and co-authored the Report of the Defense Science Board Task Force on Predicting Violent Behavior in June, 2012.  Additional writing credits include chapters in the International Handbook of Threat Assessment, Oxford University Press – November 2013, and Stalking, Threatening and Attacking Public Figures: A Psychological and Behavioral Analysis, Oxford University Press – June 2008.

    Jeff is routinely sought out as a subject matter expert on the topic of threat assessment for television programs, magazine and newspaper articles, as well as forensic case studies.  He has been featured on the television programs ABC Nightline, Dateline NBC, The CBS Early Show, The Today Show (NBC), A & E Investigative Reports, Celebrity Justice as well as various programs on Court T.V.  Magazine credits include featured articles in Los Angeles Magazine, Us, People, W, and Vanity Fair.

    Jeff is currently on the National Board of Directors for the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP). ATAP is a non-profit association of law enforcement, prosecutors, mental health and security professionals dedicated to research, education and investigation of high-risk cases involving threat assessment and long-term management.

    Paul has over 21 years of experience in law enforcement.  Paul was hired by a large southern California metropolitan police department where he began his career working as a patrol officer and as a member of various special problems units.  The mission of one of those special problem units was to target and capture wanted parolees and escapees, and the service of high risk search warrants.  Paul was quickly promoted to Detective and has worked as an investigator in a variety of assignments including Crimes against Persons, Sex Crimes, Robbery, four different Homicide units and Internal Affairs.  Also Paul was assigned to an Organized Crime unit where he conducted surveillance working alongside with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Secret Service and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.  Currently, Paul is a Detective Supervisor in a Criminal Apprehension Team, tasked with apprehending violent offenders.  Paul is also a Department certified handgun and shotgun instructor, police rifle operator, and is Multiple Assailant Counter Terrorism Action Capabilities (MACTAC) trained.  Additionally, Paul has experience in working security details for various celebrity events.  Paul is a graduate from California State University of Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.  Paul’s extensive investigative skill and background in a multitude of specialized assignments makes him a valuable asset to California Intelligence Agency.

    In 1991, Ed joined a major municipal police department in Southern California. Since then, he has been steadily promoted through the ranks of Detective, Detective Supervisor, and Sergeant. As an officer, Ed was assigned to Patrol Functions, Community Relations, Area Reserve Officer Coordinator, Field Training Officer, Vice Investigator, and an Element Member of a Specialized Tactical Division.

     

    In 2001, Ed was promoted to the rank of Detective. His assignment included Major Assault Crimes, Juveniles, Burglary/Theft, Robbery, and Firearm Regulations. As a Detective Supervisor, Ed managed investigations of Organized Crime, Surveillance Team, Explosives/Hazardous Materials, and Internal Affairs. During his Detective tenure, Ed was deputized as a federal agent and worked on several national investigations involving narcotics trafficking, money laundering, and wanted fugitives.

     

    Ed is currently working as a Field Sergeant in a patrol division where he supervises patrol officers and a high crime suppression unit.

     

    Ed graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Management and worked in the private sector as a Stock Broker (Series 7 License) prior to his law enforcement career.

    Timothy “Tim” Swift is a decorated twenty-five year law enforcement officer and tenured member of one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the United States.

     

    Prior to entering his current profession, Tim was the owner and operations manager of a successful family business.  Tim understands and embraces the importance of excellent customer service and direct communication with clients.  “Polite, courteous and professional” is Tim’s mantra in serving his clients.

     

    Tim’s second career as a law enforcement professional has afforded him the opportunity to expand his horizons.  For the last twelve years he has worked, trained and honed his skills in the field of dignitary protection.  Assigned as the “Officer in Charge” (OIC) of a dignitary protection detail, Tim has worked with numerous operators from around the country who perform the duties of dignitary protection at the federal, state and local levels.  In addition to traveling throughout United States, Tim’s position has taken him to various countries in the world to operate and provide protection for his principals.

     

    Recognized by the senior leadership of his agency as a dedicated professional, Tim is regularly called upon to develop and provide training for numerous entities.

     

    Tim’s experience, training and expertise distinguish him as a leader and skilled professional in the field of dignitary protection.
